Reflections on one Year at Georgia Institute of Technology as a CSC Visiting Student
Abstract
The China Scholarship Council (CSC) is an institution aiming to improve the training of creative and distinguished postgraduates and enhance the development of China’s higher education. Over the past several years, CSC has sponsored many talented Chinese students for overseas study. From October 2017 to November 2018, I was sponsored by CSC to perform one-year research work at School of Material Science and Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology. During my stay, I worked together with Prof. Hamid Garmestani on microstructure and property of light alloys. A brief introduction of Georgia Institute of Technology and Prof. Hamid Garmestani’s group in which I studied will be given in my presentation.
