Reflections on one and a half years study at Georgia Institute of Technology as a CSC visiting student
Abstract: The China Scholarship Council (CSC) is an institution aiming to improve the training of creative and distinguished postgraduates and enhance the development of China’s higher education. Over the past several years, CSC has sponsored many talented Chinese students for overseas study. From October 2017 to April 2019, I was sponsored by CSC to perform one and a half years research work in the School of Industrial and System Engineering (ISyE), Georgia Institute of Technology. During my stay, I worked together with Prof. Nagi Gebraeel on remaining useful life (RUL) prediction of mechanical systems. In this presentation, I will give a brief introduction of Georgia Institute of Technology and ISyE. Then, I will give a systematic report about my research work in RUL prediction under time-varying operational conditions.
Bio Sketch: Naipeng Li is a Ph.D. student in Professor Yaguo Lei’s group in the School of mechanical Engineering at Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xi’an, China. He was sponsored by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) to conduct one and a half years research as a visiting Ph.D. student during October 2017 to April 2019 under the supervision of Prof. Nagi Gebraeel in the School of Industrial and System Engineering (ISyE), Georgia Institute of Technology. His research focuses on the remaining useful life (RUL) prediction of mechanical systems.
Hope to see you there!
